Field Mouse Spring 2013 US Tour

Field Mouse recently announced that they'll be touring the US this spring with Laura Stevenson and they released a new song about a month ago that I haven't yet shared. So click on through for all the dates and the great track "Tomorrow Is Yesterday."

The Wood Brothers: East Coast Tour Dates

The Wood Brothers are a TWD favorite, however, I'm embarrassed to say I've never had the pleasure of seeing them live in concert. In looking up their newest tour schedule I was thinking about correcting this either in Philadelphia or NYC in the coming weeks. If you and I share this neglectful commonality check out the east coast dates below and take care of correcting this matter for yourself.

2/21 – Fairfield, CT – StageOne

2/22 – Albany, NY – The Egg 2/23 – Syracuse, NY – Westcott Theater

2/24 – Philadelphia, PA – World Cafe Live

2/26 – New Hope, PA – Triumph Brewing Company 2/27 – Northampton, MA – Iron Horse

2/28 – Boston, MA – Paradise Rock Club

3/1 – New York, NY – Bowery Ballroom

3/2 – Hudson, NY – Club Helsinki

There are also a slew of west coast dates on tap and you can find those here. Are you new to the Wood Brothers and not sure if they're worth a road trip? Well then just trust me, they are. Start here, listen to the records, and then find a friend in one of the tour stops and tell them to ready the couch because it's about to have company.

Dark Dark Dark, Emily Wells, & Small Sur: Concert Review

Last week was busier than expected week for yours truly, so I did not get to post my concert review from last Sunday, October 14th at the Metro Gallery in Baltimore MD until now. However, that does not mean that Dark Dark Dark, Emily Wells, and native guest Small Sur didn't put on an incredible show at a truly unique venue.

Read on for my thoughts, images, and sound samples from all three artists. You dig?

Erie Show – The Defibulators

I think I'm a music alcoholic. Admission is the first step. I am uncontrollably driven to a) bands that sing about drinking, and b) bands whose music is ideal to drink to. The Defibulators are stopping into The Crooked I this Friday the 12th to fulfill both of those roles for me. There will probably be drinking involved.

The Defibulators – Ol' Winchester

The Defibulators – Get What's Coming

Last Minute Reminder – Holy Ghost Tent Revival TONIGHT!

Just a last minute reminder that Holy Ghost Tent Revival will be playing TONIGHT at the Crooked I at 10:00! It's only five bucks so bring your buddies, drink some cheap microbrews, and dance around to some awesome music. This video for "Needing You" is extra awesome so I saved it for the special occasion today. Enjoy, and see you tonight!
